A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2-42z, relating to creating a hunting license permitting crossbow hunting. .
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2-42z, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.
§20-2-42z. Crossbow hunting licenses.
(a) Notwithstanding any other provision in this code to the contrary, pursuant to section one-a of this article, the Director of the Division of Natural Resources may issue a Class CB license entitling the licensee to hunt with a crossbow. The director shall designate a separate season for crossbow hunting and identify which species of wild animals that may be hunted with a crossbow. The director shall also establish a fee for the license: Provided, That the fee shall be at least $10.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to create a hunting license permitting crossbow hunting. .
